IDENTITY

A single barrel edition late harvest wine with 130g sugar per litre, made from Touriga Nacional grapes naturally dehydrated on the vines.

TASTING NOTES

A very deep ruby colour. Intense and fragrant, with notes of red fruit compote, balsamic aromas and cedar. On the palate, it is fresh yet creamy and sweet, with an enchanting flavour of dried figs. The finish is long, evoking flavours of mint chocolate.

Essência resonates with all the senses – a truly unique dessert wine!

SERVICE & PAIRING

Serve at 14 – 16ºC. Enjoy as a dessert wine, with dark chocolate or with a cheese platter.

VINIFICATION & AGEING

Hand–crafted wine, without filtering or fining.
Grapes from carefully tended vines with strong yield reduction. Meticulous selection of the most concentrated berries of each bunch. Fermentation in stainless steel without temperature control.

Aged for 20 months in used French oak barrels.
